Together with our partner company Papush, we produced “Rethink your drink” – an activity designed to strengthen Sodastream’s status as a healthy alternative to Sugary Big Soda drinks.
For one day, On August 2014, we set up a Sugar Glass display and SodaStream beverage bar at Union Square, NYC. The 12-foot structure resembled a traditional glass of soda, and was filled with 312 lbs of real sugar to represent the average amount of added sugar consumed by an American couple.
The SodaStream beverage bar featured eight Play machines, staffed with bartenders who offered tastings, focusing on diet flavors with no sugar or carbs.
To spice things even more, we joined forces with actress Molly Sims, as a celebrity spokeswoman for the activity. Sims was on-site for the activation to conduct media interviews and photo opportunities, and also provided several social media posting from her personal Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.
The activity brought sugarless coverage on major media platforms, such as Page Six, Daily Mail, BloombergTV, First Coast News and more.
